Our weekly group runs are designed to be fun, sociable affairs. We welcome runners of all abilities and experience levels. All runs start and finish at the store in the Coconut Grove Marketplace. Join us:
Tuesday nights at 5:00 pm.
The Tuesday Trot 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place on Tuesday evenings. The route is an out-and-back to Old Airport.
Runners looking to go further, do and out-and-back south on Alii Drive (typically up to 6 miles).
Thursday nights at 5:00 pm.
Distances range from 3-6 miles.
We usually run along Alii Drive - often to the backdrop of a beautiful sunset.
Saturday mornings at 6:30am
Saturday runs tend to be a little longer.
Distances are usually negotiated among participants and disputes are settled with coconut-paper-scissors.
There is no charge to participate and visitors are always welcome!
Weekly Group Runs
Couch to 5k Group For the Jingle Bell Beach Run
Every year we put together a couple free "Couch to 5k" training groups. The goal is to complete a local 5k at the end of the training block.
The training group is aimed at:
the beginning runner;
the former runner who doesn't know where to start back up;
the injured athlete who needs to start back up;
and this is our most fun and successful training group!
The program begins with walk/run intervals and progresses to where participants can run the entire 5k distance without stopping.
You'll see past participants of Couch to 5k at our group runs, competing in marathons, and even working in our store.
Due to COVID-19, our Couch to 5k program is on hold. We have made the program available for download if you would like to follow it during this unprecedented downtime!
