WEEKLY GROUP RUNS

COUCH TO 5K PROGRAM

 

We are excited to announce that our Tuesday/Thursday group runs are returning starting Tuesday, March 8, 2022! 

Our weekly group runs are designed to be fun, sociable affairs. We welcome runners of all abilities and experience levels. All runs start and finish at the store in the Coconut Grove Marketplace. Join us: 

Tuesday and Thursday nights at 5:00 pm 

  • Distances range from 3-6 miles.

  • We usually run along Alii Drive - often to the backdrop of a beautiful sunset.

There is no charge to participate and visitors are always welcome! Please bring your own water and a mask if you would like to come into the store.

Weekly Group Runs

Couch to 5k Group For the Jingle Bell Beach Run

Every year we put together a couple free "Couch to 5k" training groups. The goal is to complete a local 5k at the end of the training block. 

 

The training group is aimed at:

  • the beginning runner; 

  • the former runner who doesn't know where to start back up;

  • the injured athlete who needs to start back up;

and this is our most fun and successful training group!

 

The program begins with walk/run intervals and progresses to where participants can run the entire 5k distance without stopping.

 

You'll see past participants of Couch to 5k at our group runs, competing in marathons, and even working in our store.

Due to COVID-19, our Couch to 5k program is on hold. We have made the program available for download if you would like to follow it during this unprecedented downtime!

Fall 2022:

  • We are hopeful that we will be able to offer this program in Fall of 2022.
