COUCH TO 5K PROGRAM

weekly group runs

 

Our weekly group runs are designed to be fun, sociable affairs. We welcome runners of all abilities and experience levels. All runs start and finish at the store in the Coconut Grove Marketplace. Join us: 

​

Tuesday and Thursday nights at 5:00 pm​ 

  • Distances range from 3-6 miles.

  • We usually run along Alii Drive - often to the backdrop of a beautiful sunset.

​

There is no charge to participate and visitors are always welcome! Please bring your own water.

Weekly Group Runs

Couch to 5k Group For the RUN FOR HOPS 2023

Prior to 2020, every year we put together a couple free "Couch to 5k" training groups. The goal is to complete a local 5k at the end of the training block. We're excited to announce the return of this program starting January 3, 2023!  The program will conclude with the 2023 Run for Hops 5K on Saturday, March 11.

 

The training group is aimed at:

  • the beginning runner; 

  • the former runner who doesn't know where to start back up;

  • the injured athlete who needs to start back up;

and this is our most fun and successful training group!

 

The program begins with walk/run intervals and progresses to where participants can run the entire 5k distance without stopping.

 

You'll see past participants of Couch to 5k at our group runs, competing in marathons, and even working in our store.

Please email Melissa if you have any questions. Below is a registration form for the FREE program, which helps us get an idea of your history and starting point. If possible, please bring this with you to the first run. We will also have copies available that day.
